The News module enables you to share the company and products news and updates with your community.

To install the module follow the directions from Installing and activating addons.

When installed proceed to the module settings page to configure it:

The “News” module settings page allow you to define the number of news messages in the Top news block on a storefont page and the number of news messages per page on the News page in the storefront:

Submit the settings to make them active.

News messages are a great way to build a community around your products and notify clients about recent updates. To add news on the site proceed to the News section in the admin area (Content -> News) and click Create:

A new “Create news message” page will be opened.

Set the date, fill in the required fields and click “Create”. The WYSIWYG editor allows to format the content text, add images and videos, insert html code if required.

The content text is displayed in full on the News page in the storefront. Brief description is shown in the News block on all the storefront pages it’s enabled at.

The news message will be added to the news list:

If necessary you can enable/disable, edit or even delete news from the list later on.

All enabled news will be displayed in the storefront in a special News block on every page the block is enabled at and on the News page:
